Andre Ayew has admitted he may leave Marseille at the end of the season, but his brother now looks set to stay at the club. The siblings have been linked with moves away from the Stade Velodrome, but it looks as though it will be the elder brother who will be the one to go after Marseille said they were ready to listen to offers for the midfielder.23-year-old Andre has reportedly been targeted by the likes of Manchester United and Barcelona and insisted he will be looking for a club that matches his ambitions. He said: “The club have made it clear if they receive a good offer they will listen to that, but I will not go just to please the club, I will go to a club that want to win trophies.“But now I want to finish the season well with Marseille and qualify for the Champions League.”Meanwhile, brother Jordan appears to have performed something of a U-turn in his immediate plans. The 21-year-old Ghanaian said earlier this season that he wanted to leave after finding himself out of Elie Baup’s side. But he now sees his long-term future at the Stade Velodrome.“I could even see myself finishing my career at Marseille,” he said, “I am very happy here, it is a great club and everything here is set up for success.“I have to be a success here and even if there is no Champions League football next season, I can assure you I will be here.”

We talked to Mike Beltzner, Mozilla’s director of Firefox, about these changes. Beltzner noted that Mozilla isn’t really “dumping” version 3.7. Instead, Mozilla took a closer look at its development roadmap and realized that there was simply no need to release Firefox 3.7 because the Firefox team now plans to release the most important update to 3.7 as a regular security update to Firefox 3.6.ElectrolysisThe reasons for this change are actually rather straightforward. As Beltzner told us, given the often times chaotic nature of the open-source development process and the rapidly changing nature of the Internet, roadmaps are always moving targets. The most important update for Firefox 3.7 was supposed to be the integration of the Electrolysis project into the core browser. Electrolysis is a new technology in Firefox that splits the process that displays the browser UI, web content and plugins into separate processes. According to Mozilla, this will make the browser faster and increase stability, as malfunctioning plugins won’t be able to bring the whole browser down.No Need for 3.7Instead of shipping a completely new version of Firefox to integrate this technology, Mozilla has now decided to simply release this update as a part of a regular security update for Firefox 3.6. Mozilla doesn’t typically release major new features through these regular security updates. As Beltzner told us, however, Mozilla believes that this is a very important update and it wants to get this technology to users as fast as possible. Depending on how fast Firefox users switch to 3.6, the team might even release this update for older version of the browser as well. This doesn’t mean that Mozilla is changing the way it develops the browser. Beltzner did note, however, that nothing is set in stone and that Mozilla is always looking for the best ways to develop its software. For now, however, Mozilla isn’t planning to “slip in new features and functionality every few weeks.” Chrome, which is currently Firefox’s most interesting competitor, releases weekly updates and constantly adds new features. That, however, is typical for a young project like Chrome and will likely change as the software matures.Looking ForwardFirefox 3.6 will be released in a few weeks and Firefox 4.0 is currently scheduled for the end of the year. Typically, Beltzner acknowledged, this is a time where there is some confusion about how to go forward and the confusion about version 3.7 is a good example of this. frederic lardinois Top Reasons to Go With Managed WordPress Hosting 8 Best WordPress Hosting Solutions on the Market Why Tech Companies Need Simpler Terms of Servic…

View comments “You never know about sprained ankles until the next day. The swelling dictates what grade it is, one, two, or three. If it’s a grade one, he’ll get a chance to play, but if it’s two or three, he won’t make it on Sunday,” said Cone.Mercado has been a good barometer of Ginebra in the Finals as he averaged 6.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and 2.5 steals in the first two wins, but went scoreless in Games 3 and 4, both Gin King losses, to go with 1.5 boards, 1.0 assist, and 0.5 steals. Affiliates and their participants are important owners of our sport and are now able to be direct members of Touch Football Australia (TFA). Our State and Regional associations are being replaced with more streamlined State and Regional Councils, and all activities and staff above affiliate level will be directed and employed by TFA. This is the new “Unitary Model of organisation by which participants are members of one body, with one national vision with an affiliate service focus”. THE INFORMATION: From today we are providing a number of resources to enable affiliates and constituent bodies to have a complete understanding of our new constitutional and operational arrangements. These documents will be uploaded onto the right hand side of the homepage and will be available for all to read and download in the coming months. There will also be links to these documents available at the bottom of this page for your convenience. The documents have been coordinated by our CEO Kevin Thompson with the assistance of the Unitary Model Implementation Team, state boards and staff. Your first stop should be the “Affiliation Introduction” and the “Unitary Model Primer” which provide a background to the changes, and the benefits of the new structure. The “Information memorandum” is a comprehensive run-down on exactly how the new organisation will work, and the important role of affiliates as members under the new governance structure. The PowerPoint “Slide shows” are aids which we are using in our meetings with constituent bodies and affiliates, as we talk through the important changes and how they will impact across the states and regions. There are also documents on the “National Touch League”, the “Constitution” adopted by members on 25th June, and the draft “Standing Orders” which will be considered by the Board following feedback from our consultations. Tottenham midfield Winks hopes for ‘perfect’ Arsenal revengeby Freddie Taylor10 months agoSend to a friendShare the loveTottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks says Tottenham Hotspur will be looking for revenge when they face Arsenal in the EFL Cup quarter-finals on Wednesday. The Gunners beat Spurs 4-2 in the north London derby earlier this month.”It’s a massive game for us,” Winks toldStandard Sport. “It’s come quickly after we lost to them two weeks ago, so there’s going to be revenge on our minds. We want to put it right and, obviously, it’s a good opportunity to progress in a cup.”That defeat was difficult to take. It’s never nice losing to anyone, especially our rivals at their ground. It was disappointing for us, the fans, the club, but we’ve put it right with our results since in the League and the Champions League. It’s important we do the same on Wednesday.”Us players treat every game in every competition as important as the next. We want to win every cup we’re involved in. The League Cup is no different. Beating Arsenal is the perfect opportunity to progress to the semi-finals.” About the authorFreddie TaylorShare the loveHave your say

A Bill to facilitate the withdrawal of $11.4 billion annually from the National Housing Trust (NHT), to provide budgetary support for the Government over the next four years, was tabled in the House of Representatives, on Tuesday, February 26.The Bill, entitled the National Housing Trust (Special Provisions) Act 2013, was tabled by Minister of Finance and Planning, Dr. the Hon. Peter Phillips, on behalf of Prime Minister the Most Hon. Portia Simpson Miller. According to the Memorandum of Objects and Reasons, the legislation will enable the NHT to provide financial support for fiscal consolidation for the period beginning with financial year 2013/2014 and ending at financial year 2016/2017.The Bill notes that since its incorporation in 1976, the NHT has operated profitably while delivering on its mandate of providing affordable housing solutions.“The NHT is therefore in a position to facilitate the Government in achieving these fiscal targets by making a contribution of $11.4 billion annually for the above mentioned period. Importantly, this contribution will enable the Government to undertake necessary expenditure to bolster social and physical infrastructure, particularly in areas where construction is being undertaken by the NHT,” it says. The Bill also states that the financing may be by way of distribution, grant or otherwise, as the Minister of Finance may determine. On February 12, the Finance Minister announced that the NHT will be asked to make a contribution of $11.4 billion per year, over the life of a new agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).He noted that the measure was part of the fiscal consolidation efforts and will not result in any change in the mandate of the NHT to provide affordable housing. “The distribution will not impair the viability of the Trust and will not reduce its capacity to build houses for the Jamaican people, who need houses,” he stated. The Minister told the Lower House that the NHT will remain committed to its core objectives and will ensure that the housing and community development programmes are maintained.
